About Me

My name is Ann and I live on Central Ohio. The purpose of this blog is to relay my experiences with feral cats in hopes that it will help someone else. I do not claim to have all of the answers only my own experiences.

I have always been an animal lover growing up with dogs and a cat. I usually classified myself as a dog person as once my childhood cat died, we did not get another cat. When I was first married, we got a dog right away. A cat didn’t enter our lives until my son found the sweetest kitten at the Humane Society. It was certainly fate. Our dear sweet Jake has taught us so much. He had a rough start to life as he was born in a ditch along the freeway. A kind soul, saw his mother and wanted to help. Unfortunately the mother did not survive, but 3 kittens were rescued. Thank you Jake for allowing my love of cats to begin.

I hope to provide blog posts that will help you in your quest to care for feral cats as well as other posts about my animal family and love of all animals.

I stumbled across your blog while researching how to move an older, outdoor cat. I was led to the Cat Site and then started clicking on other topics and someone commented on your blog so here I am! I’m really enjoying the entries I’ve read so far. I’ve been involved in animal rescue for awhile, dogs and horses are my passion. I have two of each, plus the aforementioned outdoor cat 🐱! Funny, because I don’t consider myself a “cat person” but apparently you felt the same way at some point. I think when you find a bond with a cat, it’s special and makes you realize that cats are very “deep” and almost mystical.
I also wanted to add that just being on the Cat Site and reading your blog has put a smile on my face this Sunday morning. I can only dream of a world where everyone cared for their pets like you and Cat Site members.
Thank you from sunny (and HOT) South Florida! ❤️
